Become an expert in automotive management!
Why study the programme?
In the Master in Automotive Management programme you will analyse a number of questions crucial to the automotive industry and related service sectors, for example
- Where does future cost-saving and performance potential lie in the automotive and mobility markets?
- How do changing political, economic, technological, ecological and social conditions impact the strategic direction of automotive companies?
- Which mobility concepts will dominate the market in future?
- Which will be the leading technologies and how will mobility requirements in the markets change?
During your studies you will gain not only a sound understanding of business, but also technical and intercultural competence. Through the continuous involvement of leading automobile manufacturers (Audi, BMW, Daimler and Volkswagen), suppliers such as Robert Bosch GmbH and the German automobile association VDA as well as an integrated compulsory internship lasting at least six weeks in Germany or abroad, you will learn to apply theoretical knowledge to the practical setting. Furthermore, by taking part in extra-curricular events such as workshops, corporate visits or expert lectures you will be able to expand and deepen your professional competence. At the same time you will have the opportunity to extend your network to include our corporate partners.
All courses are taught in English and in small groups to ensure high-quality learning. An integral part of the curriculum is a study experience abroad (third semester) at one of our renowned partner universities. In addition, you also have the opportunity to gain a dual degree (e.g. an MBA or a specialist Master from one of our partner universities).
Personal coaching in one-to-one talks and optimal support of personal development through modules such as Studium Fundamentale and Personal Mastery, together with a wide range of student initiatives round off the curriculum.
The programme begins in September and January each year and is organized in two semesters spent at EBS and one semester spent abroad.
The modules Research Methods I & II, Studium Fundamentale I & II and Personal Mastery are compulsory in all Master's programmes. This gives you the opportunity to learn from and share experiences and ideas with students pursuing other specialist options.
The Master in Automotive Management comprises six compulsory courses: "Strategy, Corporate Foresight & HRM in the Automotive Industry", "Brand Management & Consumer Behaviour", "Mobility Innovation, R&D and Engineering", "Creating Operational Excellence", "Sustainability, Regulations & Business Strategy", "Organization & Information Management in the Automotive Industry" and "Distribution Channels & Dealership management".
The third semester is reserved for your study experience abroad and the compulsory internship. The Master’s thesis dealing with an automotive topic is written between the second and third semester, frequently in cooperation with a company from the automotive industry.
