Master Degree Program in Cognitive Science
Cognitive science is an interdisciplinary field studying human cognition – perception, memory, thinking, decision making, language, etc. It integrates methods from Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive modeling, Philosophy, Linguistics.
The master program in Cognitive science is with duration of 3 semesters and is taught in English. The program is open to students with bachelor degree in Psychology, Computer sciences, Linguistics, Biological sciences, Mathematics, Philosophy, and other related fields of study. The program has International Advisory Board's that guarantees high standards of research and education, strong international relations, and international recognition of the degrees awarded.
During the study in the master program students have access to several labs: Experimental psychology lab, Usability lab, Neurosciences lab, Cognitive development lab, Robotics lab. The equipment of the labs includes software and hardware for performing psychological experiments, EEGs, two eye-trackers, BIOPAC system for physiological recordings, several AIBO robots and a Pioneer robot.
An annual Summer school is organized with lecturers being the most prominent names in the field of Cognitive Science. It is a unique opportunity to meet researchers and students from all over the world.
Graduates may work in research institutions, advertising agencies, companies dealing with information technology organitsatsii in education, as specialists in cognitive science.
