MANAGERS OF TOMORROW
The MSc in Marketing and Business Innovation is designed for the managers of tomorrow – for graduate students who seek an overall business understanding of the entire organisational innovation process and how that process is linked to key stakeholders, both inside and outside the organisation.
The first semester features three courses: International Marketing Management, Business Research Methodology, and Innovation Management. The second semester comprises the following specialising courses: Business Innovation – Knowledge, Learning and Entrepreneurship, Leading Organisational Change, Marketing and Globalisation, and Strategy Synthesis.
In the third semester, students choose from a broad range of elective courses. Students can tailor the study programme to fit their interests, which makes it possible to create a profile specialised primarily in marketing, innovation, strategy, or organisation and management. The third semester can also be spent studying abroad.
The fourth semester is devoted to the final thesis. Students may choose their thesis topic freely and thus have the chance to concentrate on and specialise in a specific field of interest.
COMPANY CONNECT PROGRAMME
At the Department of Business Development and Technology (BTECH), our focus is on applied research. Our unique Company Connect programme links each student with a company throughout the study period. Students gain in-depth knowledge and experience of business life as theory is put into practice.
STUDENT LIFE AT BTECH
BTECH is an excellent environment in which to build a social life and network. Birk Campus offers accommodation for 400 students right next to the university, with facilities including a fitness room, a café, free internet, and a laundry room.
Graduates typically find work in the fields of marketing analysis, strategy development and implementation, innovation projects, and HR. Some may work as special assistant to a CEO or project manager for a change project. Graduates are currently employed across a wide variety of companies and public-sector organisations, with some starting their own businesses.
“I chose this study programme because I felt I needed more knowledge of strategy and business development. Currently I am working with MobilePay, a mobile payment solution that is one of Danske Bank’s most innovative projects. It has been a very positive experience from the start to see how well the innovation management theories taught at university have been applied in our project. The Marketing and Business Innovation programme gave me a solid background which supports my current role in Danske Bank.”
