What is it?
A special opportunity to obtain two MSc degrees from separate leading institutions on two continents.
A new partnership has been established between the Department of Economics at the University of Leicester and the Department of Economics at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. This will allow students from each university to study an additional Masters degree but studying a reduced number of modules over a shorter period.
This innovative partnership provides an opportunity for students to receive an advanced financial education across two different cultures and academic institutions, showcasing a student's ability to adapt and succeed within a range of environments.
How does it work?
Students complete a full 12-month MSc degree at either Leicester or Lingnan University. Leicester graduates complete a 6-month programme with Lingnan University whereas Lingnan graduates complete an 8-9 month programme* with the University of Leicester.
Thus, Leicester students will have received two MSc degrees after successful completion of 18 months of study. Lingnan students will have received two MSc degrees after successful completion of 20-21 months of study.*
The reduced module load for the additional MSc degree is in recognition of the prior learning at one of the partner institutions.

*The duration for Lingnan students on their second Masters degree depends on the modules chosen to satisfy the requirements of either the MSc in Banking and Finance or the MSc in Financial Economics course.
