Motorsport is as much a business as a sport and this new one-year Masters programme will provide students with a programme of broadly-ranged academic modules which examine the national and international aspects of the industry from a commercial perspective.
Motorsport has developed into a global phenomenon which is underpinned by an industry employing many thousands of talented individuals drawn from the world of high-performance engineering. Motorsport is multi-faceted and complex. But this is just tip of the iceberg.
From a business and a sport perspective, this new one-year Masters programme will provide students with broadly-ranged academic modules which examine the national and international aspects of the industry from a commercial perspective. From governance, structure and the principles of sports law, through the importance and interdependence of commercial rights holders, promoters, manufacturers, teams, sponsors and the role played by the media, this course is aimed at enhancing the professional and career prospects of those with an aspiration of working within this exciting and challenging global industry.
Developed in collaboration with the UK’s highly respected industry / governance representative bodies and leading individuals the course is a programme focussed on providing the knowledge and networking opportunities required to fulfil future leadership and senior management roles. You will be taught by industry professionals who excel in the various fields of the business of motorsport and as part of the Complementary Curriculum ™ you will also benefit from the valuable industry insight provided by circuit and industry site visits as well as VIP guest speakers drawn from the world of F1 and elite motorsport.
Career prospects for graduates of the MSc Business of Motorsport degree programme at UCFB include sports industry jobs specific to motorsport within various sectors such as sponsorship and brand management, finance, event management and law.

You will have a Bachelor’s degree with 2:1 classification or an international equivalent. International students that require an IELTS must have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening, or recognised equivalent). Relevant academic experience in business, marketing or sport is desirable.
