The one-year Master's degree programme in Marketing concentrates on marketing strategies and consumer behaviour. It explores the strategies and methods that companies use to meet the wishes and requirements of consumers. Companies need this type of information to be successful.
In this programme you will analyse consumer and business markets, investigating markets of both goods and services. The focus will be on profit-making organizations, but the public sector and non-profit organizations will also be studied.
The programme is taught by specialists with an international reputation. Courses are of high standard, and high standards are expected of students. In most courses, theory is applied to practice. There are also plenty of opportunities for studying abroad.
The programme offers two profiles: Marketing Management and Marketing Intelligence. It is also possible to do a Double Degree programme in Groningen and Oslo: Marketing Intelligence and Strategic Marketing Management. In this two-year Double Degree programme you will earn two recognized EU Master's degrees.
Entry Requirements - International students
You need a GMAT or GRE in order to enter a Master of Science programme at the Faculty of Economics and Business.
- 600 or higher: you will be automatically accepted, provided you meet all other requirements
- 500 or higher: the final decision will be taken by the Board of Admissions
GRE score: Or you need to submit a positive GRE-exam result.
Exemptions: Please check exemption regulations for a GMAT/GRE test.
To be applicable for this Master's programme, you need an academic bachelor's degree in the field of Business, Management, Human Resource Management, Economics, Econometrics, International Economic Relations / Trade or Accountancy.
To assess whether your educational/academic background meets the specific programme requirements, we will consider the level and curriculum of your previous studies, and the grades that you have obtained. This evaluation is carried out by the Admissions Officer and the Admissions Board.
