Program Description

MSc Management and International Business

Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University

Our Management and International Business route explores how to manage effectively in increasingly global work environments. It builds the powerful, practical skills you need to deal with the problems faced by managers working internationally.

You'll develop a strong understanding of the global supply chain, as well as how organisations within it perform in relation to one another. An experience-based module also gives you the opportunity to work abroad, developing skills and experience of operating in an overseas context.

Why study this course?
The course will equip you with broad knowledge across a wide range of management subject areas and enable you to develop more specialist knowledge as it progresses.
It is a conversion masters and is therefore not restricted to those with a business or management related first degree.
Our partnership with the CMI means that on successful completion of this course you will receive the MSc Management and International Business and the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Management and Leadership.
The routes specific modules focus on international value chains and cross cultural management issues.
You will consider how organisations capture value through new product and services and deliver value through international operations and supply chains.
In addition you will study how cultural, linguistic and physical barriers affect organisations and how, in turn, organizations respond in order to adapt to those barriers.
Students on these routes typically come from over 25 different countries, which means you will have a truly international learning experience.
There is a unique opportunity to complete a consultancy project working for a real client on a live brief.
You will complete a comprehensive development programme, which includes a short residential team-building course, usually held in the Peak District.
You can learn from the best by attending guest lectures from leading organisations. Previous speakers have included representatives from organisations such as E.ON, Lego, Experian, Santander, and IBM.
