Program Description

MSc Management and Innovation & Entreprise

Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University

Our MSc Management degrees are aimed at students with either no background in business and management who want to develop a career in this field, or students who have a qualification in business and management but want to become more competitive and progress their careers.

This route supports you through the process of creating a powerful value proposition for a new enterprise – and taking it global. Innovation is the heart of any new proposition, so you will start by developing your understanding of contemporary innovation, its value, development and protection.

You will then explore the role of value chains and how they come together to deliver products to customers. Building on this, you'll experience international entrepreneurial decision-making through an intensive four-week project, developing a business case for taking a product into a different market. This builds valuable skills in evaluating risks and benefits.

Why study this course?
The course will equip you with broad knowledge across a wide range of management subject areas and enable you to develop more specialist knowledge as it progresses.

It is a conversion master's and is therefore not restricted to those with a business or management-related first degree.

You can add a year's work placement, making your master's a two-year course.

You will complete a hands-on project, giving you a fantastic opportunity to use the theories and knowledge you've gained to produce a meaningful piece of work. Projects include the Consultancy Experience Project, Internship, Business Research Project and Global Experience Project.

Our partnership with the CMI means that on successful completion of this course you will receive the MSc Management and Innovation & Enterprise and the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Management and Leadership.
Your entrepreneurial experience will be enriched by the participation in an international entrepreneurship 'boot-camp', generating seeds for starting your own venture or advising other early stage entrepreneurs.

The route will provide you with potential access to the entrepreneurial community, presenting you with connections to experts and entrepreneurs.

You will complete a comprehensive development programme, which includes a short residential team-building course, usually held in the Peak District.

Typically, there routes are made up of students from over 25 different countries, which means you will have a truly international learning experience.

You can learn from the best by attending guest lectures from leading organisations. Previous speakers have included representatives from companies such as E.ON, Lego, Experian, Santander and IBM.
