Our MSc Management degrees are aimed at students with either no background in business and management who want to develop a career in this field, or students who have a qualification in business and management but want to become more competitive and progress their careers.
This route is designed to prepare you for a career in global supply chain management. It begins by exploring the management of operations at a strategic level, before developing your understanding of the global supply chain and how organisations within it perform in relation to one another.
You will also undertake analysis with realistic data, tackling the type of questions you might face in an operations or global supply chain environment and building valuable practical skills.
Why study this course?
The course will equip you with broad knowledge across a wide range of management subject areas and enable you to develop more specialist knowledge as it progresses.
You can add a year's work placement, making your master's a two-year course.
You will complete a hands-on project, giving you a fantastic opportunity to use the theories and knowledge you've gained to produce a meaningful piece of work. Projects include the Consultancy Experience Project, Internship, Business Research Project and Global Experience Project.
It is a conversion master's and is therefore not restricted to students with a business or management related first degree.
Our partnership with the CMI means that on successful completion of this course you will receive the MSc Management and Global Supply Chain Management and the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Management and Leadership.
This route will both deepen your understanding of strategic operations across a range of sectors and use the supply chain as a basis for integrating your understanding of the other management functions.
Typically, these routes are made up of students from over 25 different countries, which means you will have a truly international learning experience.
You will complete a comprehensive development programme, which includes a short residential team-building course, normally held in the Peak District.
You can learn from the best by attending guest lectures from leading organisations. Previous speakers have included representatives from companies such as E.ON, Lego, Experian, Santander and IBM.
You can also build your skills and knowledge further with extracurricular activities such as joining a society, volunteering or becoming a Student Ambassador.
Scholarships and funding Students on this course are also eligible to apply for a scholarship from Nottingham Business School. For full details on eligibility and how much is available visit the postgraduate fees and funding section of our website.
