MSc International Tourism Management suite

Glasgow Caledonian University

Programme Description

The international sector is constantly changing with advances in transport, sustainability, events, tourism, consumption, etc and requires constant innovation and expert managerial input. The Master of International Tourism Management programmes have been designed as a comprehensive suite which provide a common core of modern management skills and knowledge of international developments in the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors. This core supplies the foundation for students to investigate specific aspects of the subject that are of interest to them in depth.

During the one year full-time programme, students develop the competencies to co-ordinate the many complex factors involved in a management career in the international travel and tourism industry, including marketing, management and customer focused service. Students will be encouraged to apply their knowledge in a business context and to develop their transferable skills at a professional level, together with the self-awareness and personal development appropriate to graduate careers in business.
