The MSc in Human Resource Management provides a postgraduate award with a strong focus on employability. It is aimed at graduates who have an interest in developing an in depth specialist knowledge and a critical understanding of the key aspects of international human resource management, and in particular, who are looking to pursue, advance or switch to a career in human resource management or international human resource management. The master’s programme is designed so that you can complete your course in a 12 month period. You will develop a broad comprehension of the most important concepts in human resource management with a strategic perspective in a global context. You will apply theoretical concepts and human resource management models to real life case studies, in a practice based environment. The emphasis in the course design has been to provide a master's programme with an intellectual, professional and employability focus. The course offers the development of in depth intellectual and professional knowledge of international human resource management that is covered by a range of modules in coaching and mentoring, employment relations, leadership, organisations and developing people. This range of subject areas will enable you to take-up or further your professional qualifications as well as your academic qualifications. Furthermore you will gain valuable experience in research within your specialist field through the completion of a dissertation, also presentation, communication, team work and critical problem solving skills.

This degree is ideal for those interested in a career as human resource managers or other business management professionals.

The course is available as either a full-time or part-time course delivered in an interactive way with a real world focus; learning takes places both in and outside the classroom environment. Face-to-face learning, full-time or part-time is supported by online resources, including the Financial Times, case studies, simulations, learning videos, reading materials, online testing and feedback.

Course Requirements

  • 2:2 or above from a UK Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualifications
  • An English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above with a minimum of 6.0 in each component.
