The MSc in Computer Science at Reykjavik University is a very flexible programme that allows students the opportunity to tailor their study plan to their own needs and ambitions. B.Sc degree in Computer Science or a related area
Students whose first degree is not in Computer Science may be required to complete preparatory classes from the undergraduate Computer Science degree at Reykjavik University
English Language Requirements
Students whose first language is not English are required to provide certifications of TOEFL scores or comparable tests. The TOEFL DI Code is 8825.
The Master´s programme in Computer Science is ordinarily completed in two years. The programme is available through two study routes, course based or research based.
Course -based route:
Three terms are spent taking courses, in the final term students write their thesis. Students must complete 90ECTS of course-work, and at least 30ECTS of project work, which can be a group project.
Research- based route:
Students spend two semesters taking courses and one year working on a research project. Students complete at least 60ECTS of course work and 60ECTS is devoted to an individual research project under the supervision of a faculty member

BA, BSc, B.Ed., and Diploma Programmes
To be eligible for entry to an undergraduate programme at Reykjavik University, you must have:
Completed a matriculation examination, or another comparable education, other degrees will be considered on an individual basis.
Possess equivalent maturity and knowledge in the opinion of administrators in the respective department.
In evaluating applications, the factors considered are: grades on matriculation examination, further education, professional experience, participation in extracurricular activities, and fields of interest. Applicants are therefore encouraged to specify everything they feel may benefit their application
All applicants are required to have completed, or be in the final year of, a Bachelors degree to apply for our graduate programmes.
For those in the final year of study, satisfactory completion of the degree will be a condition for entry. Normally, candidates are expected to have a degree that is relevant to the Masters for which they are applying, there are however exceptions to this rule, so students are advised to refer to the individual programmes admission requirements.
