Why study the MSc Business Administration Major Tourism? 1. Study in an international tourism region in Switzerland The MSc in Business Administration with a Major Tourism takes full advantage of the unique natural, cultural and geographic setting of Chur. Set in an attractive alpine environment, close to world-famous tourism destinations, such as St. Moritz and Davos, with a rich diversity of international visitors, as well as smaller alpine destinations, the Canton of Grisons provides a perfect setting for interesting case studies. 2. Friendly and informal atmosphere You will be part of a small programme (a maximum of 30 students in the major) at a small university (only around 1'600 students). Given our size, admin and academic staff have the luxury to dedicate considerable time to our students. 3. Expert lecturers In addition to internal staff members, you will be also be taught by many external lecturers who are experts in their respective field and combine their experience with theory and practice. 4. Flexibility Being a relatively small programme allows us to be flexible. Many of our students work in the tourism industry while studying for the master at the same time. We can tailor your study plan towards your individual requirements as long as your studies do not exceed eight semesters. Should your situation change during your time at the HTW Chur, it is possible to switch between full-time and part-time study. 5. More than lectures Studying in a tourism region offers many opportunities for learning. In addition to the teaching and learning methods used in the lectures, you will be able to benefit from a seminar series, excursions, consultancy projects assisted by academic staff, a mentoring programme, networking opportunities, international exchanges, etc.
