Program Description

MSc Accounting and Finance

University of Gloucestershire

Accounting and Finance (MSc)

This course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge demanded by employers and will give you a competitive edge.

If you're the holder of a relevant degree, or equivalent qualification, this course provides you with the opportunity to explore advances in accounting and corporate governance, management accounting and corporate finance whilst enhancing your business skills.

Each module offers a combination of practical and research focused activities that reflect the realities of present day finance and management. The modules that comprise the MSc have been chosen because we recognise that the primary goal of management is to ensure viable and continuing organisations. Successful completion will provide you with the skills and knowledge to think strategically in both financial and management terms.

You'll be taught by a small, experienced and dedicated team of staff. Ample opportunity is provided to discuss issues that are of direct concern to you and, if relevant, to your own organisation. For those qualified to do so, the MSc offers the additional benefit of allowing concurrent study of the compulsory papers of the professional level of ACCA. You can also apply learning from this course towards studying for the optional papers of the Professional Stage of ACCA. Equally if you are the holder of a relevant accounting qualification you may benefit from significant exemptions from this award including direct entry into the Masters stage. The full-time Masters is a one year course. Part-time is two years. For the dissertation only top-up option, the course is six months full-time and 12 months part-time.
