FORDHAM’S MASTERS OF SCIENCE IN INVESTOR RELATIONS
Fordham’s Masters of Science in Investor Relations (MIR) is a multidisciplinary degree that teaches the skills necessary to stand out in the growing field of investor relations (IR). An IR officer does more than communicate her company’s story to investors; she is a leader with a mastery of the capital markets, and uses that information to her company’s advantage—both strategically and tactically.
Compared to other advanced business degrees, Fordham’s MIR is unique. It is the only program of its type in the United States. And importantly, it recognizes the multidisciplinary nature of IR practice. The program starts by sharpening each student’s skills in the necessary disciplines—drawing on expert faculty in the fields of media and communications, finance, accounting, and law—and then brings those disciplines together in capstone courses taught by experts in the IR field. You will learn the skills, but you will also learn how to deploy those skills effectively.
As a student in Fordham’s MIR, New York will be your campus, Fordham will be your school. Students attend classes at Fordham’s Lincoln Center campus, just twenty minutes from Wall Street, NYSE and NASDAQ.
Fordham’s MIR is intended for
- business professionals who are currently working in IR but need to complete their skill set to be more impactful;
- business professionals who are looking to transition into the IR field;
- recent college graduates who are looking to enter the IR field.
