MRes in Molecular and Cellular Biosciences
This research-based course provides a highly specialised biochemical education and practical training.
It will give you the fundamental skills to enable you to enter a research career in modern biochemical research in industry or academia.
There is considerable flexibility and you will be able to focus on specialist subjects consistent with your interests and career intentions.

Research projects are available in the wide range of subjects and choices are made in consultation with expert staff.

- Biological chemistry
- Biological structure and function
- Cell and molecular biology, including neurosciences
- Molecular microbiology and infection
- Structural biology
- Molecular biosciences
- Plant and microbial sciences
- Three 15 or 16 week research projects, each assessed by a 7,000 word report and a viva.

Workshops and Master Classes in professional skills are organised by the Graduate School.
Minimum academic requirement
2.1 Honours degree and a commitment to a career in biosciences research.
