Ph. D. in Imaging Science
The doctoral curriculum offers a course of study and research, structured and directed by experts in imaging science. Students acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience to continue to expand the boundaries of the discipline and to meet current scholarly, industrial, and governmental demands.
The course of study involves two years of course work beyond the baccalaureate and a research-based dissertation. The successful doctoral candidate completes course work, including the core curriculum, defined by a plan of study, passes a series of comprehensive examinations, and completes a dissertation under the supervision of a research advisor and dissertation committee....

Master’s Degree Programme in Modeling Molecules and Nanosystems (MoMoNano)
The International Master’s Degree Programme in Modeling Molecules and Nanosystems (MoMoNano) is organised jointly by the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Physics. Its goal is to provide the students with the skills they need for careers in computational physics and chemistry, both in private and public sector, and to secure the retention of students to higher scientific degrees (PhD).MoMoNano offers a wide range of courses in computational physics and chemistry. The systems studied range from small molecules to very large nanosystems and biomolecules. The cross-disciplinary nature of MoMoNano and the relevance of the research are highlighted in the course material. The computational methods have an intense connection to the strong experimental activities in the departments to give the students a feeling of how these two sides of science are related. All this makes MoMoNano a unique programme – well above par among its rivals.MoMoNano is linked to a consortium in computational physics and chemistry (NOCCOP), which is currently being established between five universities in four of the Nordic Countries. The student attending NOCCOP has the possibility to study at two or more partner universities....

Master's Degree Programme in Chemical and Process Engineering
Master's Degree Programme in Chemical and Process Engineering
We invite you to apply to the Master’s Degree Programme in Chemical and Process Engineering, "Innovative Process and Product Engineering", at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT).
Finland is known for its modern, innovative industry, unspoiled nature and high standard of living and safety. In addition, university education in Finland is free of charge. In this environment we offer you high-level education leading to the degree of Master of Science (Tech.).
The programme follows the core curriculum recommendations given by the European Federation of Chemical Engineering. The general goal of the programme is to give students sufficient scientific and technological knowledge for the career of chemical and process engineers in different fields of process industry. Moreover, the students will attain the basis for postgraduate studies and for continuous education in the field. A specific goal of the programme is to promote and develop students’ ability to create innovations and new technology....

Chemical Technology: Sustainable fuels economy (specialization)
Fuels – primary energy is a base for the development and even the existence of contemporary economies. Production and use of fuels need to follow the sustainability principles to be acceptable in the longer term.
Students of the course gain the competence and knowledge in the fields of fuels technologies and the analyses of their production and use. Subjects studied are within two groups: bases of fuels technologies and principles of the energy systems analyses and development. The former group has such subjects as: engineering of chemical reactors, surface phenomena and industrial catalytic processes, physics of energy transformation, basics of biotechnology, batteries and fuel cells and environmental protection in chemical processes. The latter group are the following subjects: modelling and planning in energy systems, energy markets and policy, energy and environment....

Master's Program - Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering
Master's Program - Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering
“Intelligent“ pharmaceutical drugs can be tailored to the age, sex and lifestyle of the individual. These medical products of the future can be oriented to the characteristics and needs of people and thus have the potential to revolutionise medical care in a fundamental way. Shorter development times and a far more economical production have made pharmaceutical engineering into an economically relevant factor. The four-semester master’s programme Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering links the scientific disciplines of Chemistry and Pharmacy with the engineering discipline of Chemical and Process Engineering and thus represents a master’s programme unique in the German-speaking area....
