The Master of Science (MSc) in International Marketing provides opportunities for students to acquire a thorough understanding of marketing theories and how to apply them to real world business challenges in an international context. It is specialised on marketing in an international context, including the rapidly developing issues of international communications and brand management. The degree is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) .
Programme Description
This degree consists of two parts: a taught component, which runs from late September until mid-May, and a project, for which a dissertation is submitted in early September.
The taught component of the course (MSc International Marketing) consists of 120 credits of modules, spread over Semesters 1 and 2. Semester 1 provides a foundation for teaching core principles in marketing, business strategy, accounting and human resources. All these are taught in a specific international context. In Semester 2, students specialise in international marketing undertaking courses in international marketing, market analysis, international brand management and international marketing communications management. This is followed by a dissertation to a value of 60 credits.
Entry Requirements
An upper-second-class Honours degree or higher from a UK University (or equivalent from a non-UK institution). Applicants whose first language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. Pre-sessional courses and tests in English Language are provided by the University and successful completion of these may be a condition of entry.
