By combining all the units of a traditional MBA with a strong maritime and logistics focus the program (Master of Business Administration (Maritime and Logistics Management)) prepares candidates for employment in the maritime and transport industries. It is also useful for management positions in any industry with a strong international business focus. Candidates may choose subjects especially suited to their areas of interest from the broader suite of Maritime and Logistics units.

Admission & Prerequisites

The entry requirements for these courses are given below:

A first degree in Business or an associated discipline such as Commerce, Economics, Law, Management, Transport and Distribution, Maritime Studies or Marine Engineering, and Two years work experience,

or

Applicants who do not hold a first degree, but have relevant professional qualifications such as a Class 1 Certificate of Competency can apply, provided they have work experience at a level considered by the Department of Maritime Business to be equivalent.

If a first degree or professional qualification is not held, prospective candidates may apply to the Department of Maritime Business for consideration. Applicants are assessed on their work experience and current managerial responsibilities. For non-degree holders, an official GMAT score is also required.


Students with English as a second language will also need to have an IELTS score of 6.
