Master in Molecular Life Sciences
The Master in Molecular Life Sciences programme is accredited by the NVAO, the Dutch/Flemish accreditation organisation which is a member of ECA, the European Consortium for Accrediation.
This international programme is intended for students with a Bachelor degree in Life Sciences or for laboratory technicians with a similar educational background who are interested in further developing their careers. The programme can be followed on a full-time or part-time basis.
The MMLS combines a number of different disciplines, including molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, molecular genetics and biotechnology. The programme focuses on applied research....

MSc Molecular Biology of Infectious Diseases
This course aims to provide a thorough understanding and practical experience of molecular biology as it applies to infectious agents, particularly those that cause global health problems and problems in developing countries.
It covers the application of molecular biology to studying all aspects of the agents, including their taxonomy, diagnosis, epidemiology and chemotherapy.
It aims to equip students with the specialised knowledge and skills necessary for a research career or, increasingly, commercial or management careers that demand knowledge of molecular biology.
Many graduates enter PhD programmes, become academic, hospital-based or industrial research assistants, or work for molecular biology companies....

Master’s Degree Programme in Modeling Molecules and Nanosystems (MoMoNano)
The International Master’s Degree Programme in Modeling Molecules and Nanosystems (MoMoNano) is organised jointly by the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Physics. Its goal is to provide the students with the skills they need for careers in computational physics and chemistry, both in private and public sector, and to secure the retention of students to higher scientific degrees (PhD).MoMoNano offers a wide range of courses in computational physics and chemistry. The systems studied range from small molecules to very large nanosystems and biomolecules. The cross-disciplinary nature of MoMoNano and the relevance of the research are highlighted in the course material. The computational methods have an intense connection to the strong experimental activities in the departments to give the students a feeling of how these two sides of science are related. All this makes MoMoNano a unique programme – well above par among its rivals.MoMoNano is linked to a consortium in computational physics and chemistry (NOCCOP), which is currently being established between five universities in four of the Nordic Countries. The student attending NOCCOP has the possibility to study at two or more partner universities....

MSc Molecular Life Sciences
The Molecular Life Sciences programme focuses on molecules and their properties. It seeks to discover relationships between the physical and chemical properties of molecules, particularly the role of complex molecules in living systems. It is an interdisciplinary programme that combines chemistry, physics and biology.
Program Specialisations
Molecular Life Sciences is an interdisciplinary programme that combines chemistry, physics and biology. Each specialisation covers at least two of these disciplines. The programme is designed to enable the student to acquire all that is required for doing independent research at the interface of chemistry, biology and physics. This is of course also possible in an applied field, e.g. medical, plant and animal sciences....
