The studio-based Master program in Ceramics at Accademia Riaci is intended to broaden and advance the conceptual, critical, historical, and practical knowledge needed to sustain a contemporary studio.

The program has been designed to meet the needs of artists holding BFA or BA degrees or comparable professional practice who are pursuing a Master in Ceramics within a time frame that accommodates their employment or academic year schedule. To exploration in the major, students pursue interdisciplinary investigation in studio topics common to each discipline and address contemporary critical issues and methodology in seminars. During the program, students complete independent studios, projects, and independent thesis. Students maintain contact with studio faculty and present studio work at specific intervals throughout the off-campus semester and at final critiques held at the end of the program....

Master Program in Painting and Drawing

The Master Course in Painting and Drawing in Accademia Riaci is an intensive course of study. We seek advanced students who are highly motivated, self-directed, and committed to the disciplines of painting and drawing. Our Master students work closely with a dedicated faculty of many professors who, in their own work, represent a broad range of contemporary painting and drawing.

We encourage the cultivation and examination of each student’s individual vision within the discipline. Instruction is conducted primarily by the tutorial method. Candidates work independently in their studios with oversight provided by faculties. At the end of a year, the faculties meet with each student to appraise progress towards the diploma. These tutorials are supplemented with graduate classes. A Seminar is also offered, which focuses on diverse issues and fosters interaction among Master students across studio disciplines. Master Apprenticeship Program

The Master Apprenticeship Program provides students with one years working in Artist/Professional studio or Atelier in Florence, Italy. Since long time, Artists, Craftsman and Artisans have lived in Florence, Italy and have made their original work in specific and traditional Italian organization. They have worked to keep their skills and knowledge and pass on them from the master to the followers.

Apprentices work in small groups with other participants and teams of professionals to gain hands-on experience in real world environments. Students may combine labor and academic studies to achieve their individual educational and career objectives. The Master of Arts in Fine Arts Education, Studio Option, is designed primarily for individuals interested in advanced work in studio arts. Opportunities will be provided for exploration in a range of studio areas but emphasis will be placed upon advanced study in a creative field in which the student had demonstrated prior competency.
