Master of Arts in Fine Arts Education
The Master of Arts in Fine Arts Education, Studio Option, is designed primarily for individuals interested in advanced work in studio arts. Opportunities will be provided for exploration in a range of studio areas but emphasis will be placed upon advanced study in a creative field in which the student had demonstrated prior competency.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTSIn addition to the University's admission requirements:

Master of Contemporary Arts (Specialisation)
This program provides a high quality, recognised qualification in a professional practice or workplace orientated program. It consists of a professional practice project, or series of projects, with the option of undertaking a text-based research project or professional placement. Specialisations are available in the following areas: Contemporary Music, Digital Design, Gallery Practices, Theatre and Visual Arts.

MA Fine Art
This is MaHKU
MaHKU is the working title of the one-year Master programme of the Utrecht Graduate School of Visual Art and Design. MaHKU comprises five disciplines, i.e. Editorial Design, Fashion Design, Fine Art, Interior Design, and Public Space Design.
We offer an MA curriculum both discipline specific and interdisciplinary entailing a mixture of provocative seminars and workshops.

Introduction
The place of art in a society in transformation, as it is nowadays, is defined according to a series of dynamic parameters through which it negotiates its status and operational conditions. The research marking today the role of the artist can be seen as a continuous production of space and time – those of the exhibition, of representation, of direct activities here and now – among all the possible social, individual, economic and political spaces and times. So it is possible to talk about plurality of areas and operational processes that must be conquered, imagined, or revealed when they are disguised in everyday and social life. As a consequence, there is a close relationship or even a overlapping between artistic and curatorial research: not only for a change in their respective roles, but for the continuous redefining of artistic space that sees both as active subjects of study....
