MA Programs in Arts
Basel is the home of Switzerland's oldest university, dating from 15th century. Some of greatest scientists of all time have finished their schooling there – let's just mention Paracelsus, Bernoulli, Erasmus, Euler and Nietzche. It's not all about the old fame – they are still producing great scientists and patents.
Arts studies incorporate the history, culture, and practice of a variety of different art forms. Examples of topic areas include sculpture, film, painting, musical instruments, theater, and photography. Programs often combine classroom learning with hands-on work.
Switzerland (German: Schweiz, French: Suisse, Italian: Svizzera, Romansch: Svizra. Switzerland has some of the world renown universites like ETH in Zurich, EPFL in Lausanne, IHEID in Geneva, University of Lausanne or the University of St. Gallen. Keep in mind, it's much better to speak the local language, so if you can't speak either French, German or Italian, better go for a language course first.
An MA is a master’s degree awarded to students that have completed a program studying humanities or fine arts subjects such as history, communications, philosophy, theology or English. A Master of Arts degree typically requires coursework, research and written examinations.
