MA Strategic Human Resource Management
Awarding Body: Anglia Ruskin University
The Anglia Ruskin University MA programme is validated and awarded by Anglia Ruskin University, and is recognised worldwide. The MA in Strategic Human Resource Management is designed to develop and consolidate your knowledge and understanding of HRM. It is designed to expose you to current thinking and practice across a wide range of HRM disciplines.
You will build on your existing understanding of management and organisation in a way that allows you to relate your experience to contemporary management ideas and practice within a global context.
In particular, the purpose of the programme is to provide you with a critical and detailed understanding of the role of HRM in organisations and an advanced understanding of the management of HRM within a global context.
You will have the opportunity to focus on specialist areas of HRM, including employee relations, learning and development and reward management.
There are a variety of assessments used in the programme, typically one for each module. The aim is to give you the opportunity to apply your learning to practical situations; either within your own organisation or one that you have familiarity with. The final dissertation is a major piece of work that can be used to analyse a real problem in depth and generate recommendations that would be valuable to an organisation. Throughout the assessment process you will have the support of a tutor and guidance to develop the skills needed to succeed. Over the whole programme you will be required to undertake a 15,000 word dissertation.
