Research and Creative Industries Modules
You will be required to study common modules as part of the Postgraduate Art and Design programme to give you a rounded understanding of the design process and the creative industries. Studying online alongside IDI students from other design related disciplines on the Postgraduate Art and Design programme, you will complete modules in:

As well as the common modules listed above, you will be required to study the following modules that will focus on your own practice:
- Practice 1: Art and Design
- Practice 2: Art and Design
- Major Study
During Practice 1 and 2 you will develop your proposal for your Major Study project, which will demonstrate everything you have learned during the entirety of your postgraduate studies.
To be eligible to enter the Postgraduate Art and Design Programme you would normally have an honours degree (2:2 or above) in a field relevant to graphic communication. If you do not have a degree, you will need to show you have appropriate professional experience and skills to benefit from the course.
We may also take into account accredited prior learning (APL) or accredited prior experiential learning (APEL). If your degree is in a different field, you will need appropriate knowledge, skills or experience in the field you wish to study, or be able to show that you are prepared for intensive new learning.
In all cases you will need to demonstrate, through a portfolio and personal statement, your preparedness for study at postgraduate level.
