Through the MS in Finance program, you can prepare for the finance career you want by gaining the skills employers need. Designed to meet the current demands of the economic marketplace, the program focuses on providing you with the relevant skills and industry knowledge critical to your success as a finance professional.
This master’s degree program helps you develop your expertise to advance as a financial planner, finance manager, treasury manager, or financial analyst. The program can help prepare you to sit for certification exams, including the internationally recognized Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) exam or Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) exam, depending on the specialization you choose.
The MS in Finance degree program offers three specializations:
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Finance for the Professional (Self-Designed)
The CFA and CFP specializations are specifically designed to help you advance your career and seek certification as a CFA or CFP by providing the knowledge you need to sit for the exams. Your capstone culminates in a simulated certification exam to give you hands-on practice by answering problems from past CFA or CFP exams. Upon completion of the program, students will have the knowledge base to sit for the CFA exam, CFP exam, or Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) qualification exams.
