International Master in Turbulence
The International Master in Turbulence is offered in English and jointly by Ecole Centrale de Lille, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d'Aérotechnique de Poitiers and Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Poitiers, France. It comprises four semesters: three semesters of coursework complemented by a final semester of master thesis research work. Upon completion of the program, students are awarded a Master of Science (MSc) degree. Two semesters are taught at Ecole Centrale de Lille, one semester on a shared basis at ENSI Poitiers and ENSMA, such an organisation enabling students to experience two scientific and cultural environments and the final semester, devoted to the Master Thesis work is carried out in English within or outside France at a variety of collaborating industry and university environments. The program deals with in-depth modern computational and experimental approaches to turbulent flows. The International Master Program in Turbulence is entirely taught in English. Courses in French as a Foreign language and in French culture are also offered to foreign students in order to help them fully benefit from their stay in France. The program is tightly linked to ongoing advanced research on turbulence and related topics in two research laboratories:
- Laboratoire de Mécanique de Lille
- Institut PPRIMME
These two laboratories have strong connection with Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, a renowned internationally recognized research organisation.
General Entry Requirements:
Students must hold a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in science or engineering discipline which lends itself to the study of Turbulence, e.g. Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics or Applied Mathematics.
