This academic itinerary gives students an insight into Italian design, both in terms of history and the present situation, in the city where it was born: Milan, the heart of Italian design. Lessons and visits to companies and showrooms reveal the styles of famous designers and their inspirations, such as in furniture, interiors, products and design materials. Interdisciplinary Design
NABA Semester Abroad Programs are specifically designed to meet the educational needs of Design and Fashion major students. Students will have the opportunity to combine classroom and studio sessions with several visits to Milanese Design firms, Design Studios as well as Fashion Showrooms and Fashion fairs. In addition, students will be offered the opportunity to participate in a four days mid-semester Italian Excursion as well as day trips to nearby cities and other cultural activities. A full orientation session is offered to all students during the week of arrival.
