Our specialist MSc programme in Banking and Finance is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career in the financial services sectors of industry or government, particularly banking and central banking, or for those who are looking for a route towards PhD study.
All of our modules are underpinned by the latest research and best practice, having been designed to equip you with up-to-date and relevant knowledge across a number of areas, including banking, finance and research methods. We ask for an upper second-class honours (2:1) degree or equivalent overseas qualifications in a subject which has a quantitative element. Good (2:1) grades in quantitative modules are required. Some previous economics is recommended. Examples of eligible quantitative subjects include accounting, maths, physics, chemistry, engineering, computing, finance, business and management.

IELTS: overall 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in each component
The School will accept lower IELTS scores if you undertake the University's pre-sessional English course.
- 5-week course: IELTS score of 6.5 with at least 5.5 in each component
